I’ve been waiting to say this for a long time: meet @kilomade.studios Krakatoa’s new sister brand. ⠀ ⠀ It’s time to split up our efforts (furniture making and map making) into two distinct brands. Kilomade Studios will be the new home for furniture and fabrication work. Hey Coloradans, join the party at Anderson Ranch this evening to celebrate the (almost) end to the Spring Residency. They’ll be lots of new work, sunshine, dinner and drinks.
Greetings from snowy Colorado. I was lucky enough to grab a spot in Anderson Ranch’s Residency, so I’ll be hiding out here this spring to focus on developing some new furniture. I’ve been dreaming out these new pieces for years and *hopefully* this will be time to make it happen. Things will probably be a bit quieter around here for the next couple months, but don’t worry: any map orders will still ship out within the usual timeframe, and I’m happy to start the conversation about any custom orders.
For the latest custom map I deviated a bit from the traditional style and opted to hand-trace all the line work. It felt like such a personal map warranted a more casual, approachable aesthetic.
